Icoulddrawnothingfurtherfromhim,andhewalked,lostinthought,asfarastheBaskervillegates.

“YesIseenoreasonforfurtherconcealment.Butonelastword,Watson.SaynothingofthehoundtoSirHenry.LethimthinkthatSelden’sdeathwasasStapletonwouldhaveusbelieve.Hewillhaveabetternervefortheordealwhichhewillhavetoundergotomorrow,whenheisengaged,ifIrememberyourreportaright,todinewiththesepeople.”
“AndsoamI.”
“Thenyoumustexcuseyourselfandhemustgoalone.Thatwillbeeasilyarranged.Andnow,ifwearetoolatefordinner,Ithinkthatwearebothreadyforoursuppers.”
