Nooneeversawthatruinagain,andfordaysFrankwasutterlyunconsciousofMolly'sexistence,asproprietyforbadehishavingitoutwithherashehadwithGrif.ThenAnnettemadepeacebetweenthem,andtheapproachoftheTwenty-secondgavethewagssomethingelsetothinkof.
ButitwaslongbeforeFrankforgotthatcostlyprankforhewasathoughtfulboy,whohonestlywantedtobegoodsoherememberedthisepisodehumbly,andwheneverhefelttheapproachoftemptationhemadethestrongwillmasterit,sayingtohimself“Downbrakes!”thussavingthepreciousfreighthecarriedfrommanyoftheaccidentswhichbefalluswhenwetrytorunourtrainswithoutorders,andsooftenwreckourselvesaswellasothers.
