Thistrialworkedsowellthatwhenthemonthwasover,MacandStevedemandedavisitintheirturn,andRosewent,feelingthatshewouldliketoheargrimAuntJanesay,asAuntClaradidatparting,“IwishIcouldkeepyouallmylife,dear.”

Sothewinterflewrapidlyaway,anditwasMaybeforeRosewasfairlysettledagainathome.Theycalledherthe“MonthlyRose,”becauseshehadspentamonthwitheachoftheaunts,andleftsuchpleasantmemoriesofbloomandfragrancebehindher,thatallwantedthefamilyflowerbackagain.
