“Totakecareofboys,”answeredRose,quitebeamingwithsatisfactionasshespoke.“PhebelaughedwhenItoldher,andsaidshethoughtgirlshadbetterlearntotakecareofthemselvesfirst.Butthat'sbecauseshehasn'tgotsevenboy-cousinsasIhave.”

“CouldyoumakeupyourmindtogoandstaywithAuntClaraamonth?”askedtheDoctor,whensheended.
“Yes,sirbutIshouldn'tlikeit.Doyoureallywantmetogo?”
“ThebestcureforCharlieisadailydoseofRosewater,orRoseandwater,orRoseandwaterwillyougoandseethathetakesit?”laughedDr.Alec.
“YoumeanthatifI'mthereandtrytomakeitpleasant,hewillstayathomeandkeepoutofmischief?”
“Exactly.”
“ButcouldImakeitpleasant?Hewouldwanttheboys.”
“Nodangerbuthe'dhavetheboys,fortheyswarmafteryoulikebeesaftertheirqueen.Haven'tyoufoundthatout?”
“AuntPlenoftensaystheyneverusedtobeherehalfsomuchbeforeIcame,butIneverthoughtImadethedifference,itseemedsonaturaltohavethemround.”
