ForafewmonthsIremainedpeaceablyathome,inthequietenjoymentoflibertyandrest,andgenuinefriendship,fromallofwhichIhadfastedsolongandintheearnestprosecutionofmystudies,torecoverwhatIhadlostduringmystayatWellwoodHouse,andtolayinnewstoresforfutureuse.Myfather’shealthwasstillveryinfirm,butnotmateriallyworsethanwhenIlastsawhimandIwasgladIhaditinmypowertocheerhimbymyreturn,andtoamusehimwithsinginghisfavouritesongs.
