Itwaswellhehadsomethingtocheerhimupathome,forhegotlittlepeaceatschool.HeborethegravelooksofMr.Actonmeekly,tooktheboys'jokesgood-naturedly,andwithstoodtheartfulteasingofthegirlswithpatientsilence.Butitwasveryhardforthesocial,affectionatefellowtobearthegeneraldistrust,forhehadbeensuchafavoritehefeltthechangekeenly.
