“Takeoneinthemorning,andagood-nighttoyou,mydear,”hesaid,dismissinghispatientwithaheartykiss.
Then,asshevanished,heputbothhandsintohishair,exclaiming,withacomicalmixtureofanxietyandamusement,
“WhenIthinkwhatIhaveundertaken,Ideclaretoyou,aunt,IfeellikerunningawayandnotcomingbacktillRoseiseighteen!”
